Here's what I'm thinking:

This past year I have been very fortunate and blessed to have the time, energy and well being to make this commitment.

Here's the deal:

I'll participate in every Raven Run for the month of December.
Which means I'll run 8+ miles a day, 250 miles total in the sand on SoBe

What I ask:

A pledge for every completed mile (think walk-a-thon).

Where it will go:

ALL proceeds will be donated to the "Children's Miracle Network" which does fabulous work out of Miami Children's Hospital.

Goal:

$2,500.00

I was invited by "Shoe Guy" AKA my VP at RAC and I made him proud.
I completed the run and bitched the whole way.....

Hey good news, 8000 credit will be extended until June 2010.

That's where I finished last night; to quote Maxwell Smart "missed it by this.......much" (well actually by 62 votes).

My valiant effort to run Coconut Grove was shattered by.........VOTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the hell were they thinking?

I had a perfect plan for the Grove but since it did not include closing bars at 5am, I had no chance of winning this thing.

I do take alot of pride in the fact that I was the only candidate to take that stance, probably cost me the election.

but it's just how I feel, we are a high end town with low end expectations............

We gave it a go, but we were a couple of votes short; my guess at 500 as the over/under was right on.

I'm Sooooo Nervous........

So between putting up signs, getting "PROBED" by my doctor (good news my prostate is quite small, bad news he "PROBED" up to my tonsils) and checking in on all the precincts, I have come to the sound conclusion that I'm probably toast.

It looks like the over/under is closer to 500 votes and I pretty sure that the "Gonzalez" behind the Javier is going to be a hindrance.; just a wild guess.

Now, I can tell you that there are 2 specific demographic groups that I just "KILL" in.

I won't tell you which ones, but I can tell you that Ana is not happy................

Go; get up, get some coffee and get to the polls.

I'll be at the doctors getting probed....and not in a good way.

Now its SHOWTIME...........

Early voting is over and apparently I was the only candidate that participated in scaring the hell out of would be voters this week.

What I mean is the time honored tradition of approaching voters; as if we were used car salesman (but not as classy) and asking them for their vote.

If you have not experienced this voter sensation; you are either an illegal alien or very smart or both.

So to give you this sensation via Internet, picture this........did you ever see the movie "Euro Trip"? Remember when they went to France?

If not,

Rent the video and look for the part about "the nude beach" (those French ) well that's what it feels like, a lot of men (and some women) approaching you in one solid zombie mass asking you to vote for their candidate.

I was one of them and no I was not naked; I was wearing shorts though, got to show a little skin to the voters.

OH and I was sexually harassed by some campaign workers as I was leaving today....

God how I love politics...
